Former Congress President Sonia Gandhi has been admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi. Dr. Ajay Swaroop, Chairman (Board of Management) of the hospital gave this information on Wednesday. He said, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi has been admitted to our hospital today. He has been admitted to the chest medicine department for monitoring and treatment of viral respiratory infection. Meanwhile, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi has returned from the ongoing Bharat Jodo Yatra under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi.
Sonia Gandhi's daughter Priyanka Gandhi was with her at the time of her hospitalization. Sources said that Sonia Gandhi's health was bad since Tuesday, due to which Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi returned to Delhi on Tuesday evening after walking seven kilometers to enter 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' in Uttar Pradesh. Party sources say that Congress's 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' started again from Mavi Kalan in Baghpat at 6 am today. Although Priyanka Gandhi did not join the padyatra with Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday.
