Union Minister Nitin Gadkari made several big announcements at the press conference.Gadkari addressed a press conference at Hotel Radisson Blu after holding a review meeting on all ongoing NH projects in the North East.Gadkari said the road infrastructure in Assam will be of international standard in the next two years.  A 700 km project has been undertaken in this regard.  The project will cost a total of Rs 50,000 crore.Accordingly, five new ropeways will be constructed in Assam.  The project will cost Rs 2,100 crore.  Rs 300 crore has already been released in advance.
A ring road project worth Rs 4,500 crore will be in Guwahati.10 new flyovers will be constructed in Assam.A 4-lane elevator corridor will be constructed in Kaziranga.  It will cost Rs 6,000 crore.
