While Donald Trump is in power in the US, hardliner Vladimir Putin is the President of Russia. Italy's PM Georgia Meloni is also a conservative leader. Meanwhile, there has been a major reversal in Germany and now conservative leader Friedrich Mertz will take over the government. The opposition coalition led by him has won in a close contest. With this, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has accepted defeat. The most shocking figure in this entire result is that the extreme right-wing party Alternative for Germany has got a large number of seats. Its vote percentage has also doubled to 20.5 percent, which was only 10.3 percent in 2021.
