National games: Tejaswini reached Bageshwar to torch the 38th National Games

Tejaswini, the torchbearer of the 38th National Games, was given a grand welcome when she reached the Bageshwar district headquarters. Students from various schools and NCC cadets took out a rally with the torch and mascot from the tehsil office along with cultural programmes. Various sports activities including hockey, boxing, taekwondo were also included in the rally.
DM Ashish Bhatgain and SP Chandrashekhar R Ghodke unveiled the publicity chariot from the tehsil premises and flagged off the awareness rally. DM Bhatgain said that it is a matter of pride for us that the state has got the opportunity to host the 38th National Games. The sports talents of the state are going to get a big platform. He said that the publicity vehicle with the mascot of the National Games, Mouli, is promoting the National Games by roaming in the remote villages and cities of all the development blocks of the district. Starting from the tehsil premises, the rally passed through all the major roads of the city and reached Numaishkhet ground. During this time, people showed great enthusiasm about hosting the National Games. People took selfies and got photographs taken with mascot Mouli and torch Tejaswini at various places.
