Osamu Suzuki was born on 30 January 1930 in Gero, Japan. He was a banker by profession. Married the daughter of the Suzuki family and took his wife's surname.
Former Suzuki Motor Corporation Chairman Osamu Suzuki has died at the age of 94. He was suffering from a disease called lymphoma. Osamu was born on 30 January 1930 in Gero, Japan.
Osamu, a banker by profession, married Shoko Suzuki, daughter of the Suzuki family, in 1958 and took her (wife's) surname. He also joined Suzuki in the same year.
Osamu is credited with the expansion of Suzuki around the world. Due to his efforts, Suzuki's small cars and motorcycles got a distinct identity around the world.  Osamu remained associated with the company for several decades. He became the chairman of the company twice. He is the longest serving person in this position.
Under his guidance, Suzuki Motor entered into strategic partnerships with General Motors and Volkswagen. Entering the Indian market in the 1980s is considered his boldest move.
