Australia broke the record for the highest powerplay score in T20E history by scoring 113 for the loss of one wicket in just six overs against Scotland at Grange Cricket Club in Edinburgh on September 4 (Wednesday). Opener Travis Head and skipper Mitchell Marsh took Australia off the third ball of the sixth over to move South Africa past the previous record for most runs scored in a powerplay in a T20E. This is only the second time a team has crossed the 100-run mark in a T20 international.
