The 61st National Open Chess Championship at RPS International School in Sector-50 concluded on Tuesday. Grand Master Karthik Venkataraman was the champion of the Open chess tournament and Surya Shekhar Ganguly was the runner-up. The winners were awarded cash prizes, trophies, medals and certificates. All India Chess Federation Treasurer Dharmendra Singh, The Haryana Chess Association President Saurabh Jindal, actor Raj Chauhan and others were present on the occasion. The 11-day 61st National Open Chess Championship has come to an end. Earlier, the 10th and 11th rounds of the tournament were played. There were exciting matches between chess players. The chess move between Karthik Venkataraman and Surya was exciting. Karthik Venkataraman made a move to beat Surya Shekhar Ganguly in chess to win the tournament. In the competition, Nilash Saha came third, Dipatayan Ghosh came fourth, Aronayak Ghosh came fifth, Himal Gusai came sixth, Lalit Babu came seventh, Abhijeet Gupta came eighth, Nikhil Shyam came ninth and SP Sethuram came tenth .
