Hargovind Singh Dhaliwal has been appointed as the new DGP of Andaman and Nicobar Islands

The Ministry of Home Affairs  appointed senior Indian Police Service officer Hargobind Singh Dhaliwal as the new Director General of Police (DGP) of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Prior to his new role, 1997 batch IPS officer Hargovind Singh Dhaliwal was serving as Special Commissioner of Police in New Delhi.  Throughout his career, Dhaliwal has achieved many significant achievements, including solving major cases like Dhaula Kuan gang rape case , murder of journalist Soumya Viswanathan and Jigisha Ghosh murder case.  He has also played an important role in the investigation of the murder case involving Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala.
