On this day, the Chandrayaan-3 mission completes one year. On this day a year ago, the Vikram lander at the south pole of the moon made a soft landing. Previously, only the US, China and Russia had done so. India became the fourth country to make this history.
After the Chandrayaan-3 mission, it was decided to celebrate the same day (August 23) as National Space Day. There is excitement about this day especially among the scientific community. India is making continuous progress in the field of science.
