Rajesh Kumar Singh as new defence secretary

Rajesh Kumar Singh has been appointed as the new defence secretary, succeeding Aramane Giridhar. Manoj Govil is the new expenditure secretary. Amardeep Singh Bhatia, Vivek Joshi, Nagaraju Maddrila, and Deepti Gaur Mukerjee have also been given new roles in a major reshuffle. Singh, previously DPIIT secretary, has led significant reforms, including easing FDI norms and reducing industry compliance burdens. The appointments are part of a wide-ranging bureaucratic restructuring, affecting various governmental departments and key positions within the Indian administrative framework.
