ISRO just launched EOS-08 satellite

ISRO successfully launched the third and final developmental flight of the Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV-D3) from Sriharikota this morning.  With this successful launch, ISRO has entered the market of sending the world's smallest satellites into space.  This has enabled further missions of the rocket to be launched by Indian industry and Newsspace India Limited (NSIL).  Under this mission, ISRO has launched EOS-08 satellite.  which is an Earth Observing System (EOS) mission.  It will monitor the land surface, biosphere, solid earth, atmosphere and oceans.  This will help in detecting natural disasters like floods, volcanoes, tsunamis anywhere in the world.
