Raj Kumar Choudhary was appointed Chairman and Managing Director of NHPC Limited

Raj Kumar Choudhary took over as Chairman and Managing Director of India's leading hydropower company NHPC Limited on August 7, 2024. Earlier, he was Director (Technical) at NHPC.  Chaudhry holds a degree in Civil Engineering from BIT Sindri and an Advanced Diploma in Management.  He joined NHPC as a Probationary Executive (Civil) in the Koyal Karo Hydropower Project in Jharkhand in 1989 and has held various posts since then, including his recent role as Director (Technical).His career  in Cost Engineering and Design & Engineering Departments at the Corporate Office of NHPC and includes significant contributions to projects such as Koyal Karo, Kalpong, Teesta-V and Subansiri Lower.
