President Draupadi Murmu has announced the renaming of two major halls of the Rashtrapati Bhavan.  'Darbar Hall' will be renamed 'Ganatantra Mandap' to better reflect India's republican values, while 'Ashok Hall' will be renamed 'Ashok Mandap' to honor the cultural and historical significance  .
