The Government of India will celebrate 'Sambidhan Hatya Divas' on June 25 every year

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said the observance of 'Sambidhan Hatya Divas' on June 25 would remind us of what happens when India's Constitution is crushed.
"It is also a day to pay tribute to everyone who was oppressed by the excesses of the Emergency. The Congress started this dark period in Indian history," he wrote on social media platform X.
PM Modi's comments came after Home Minister Amit Shah announced that June 25 would be observed as 'Sambidhan Hatya Divas'.
