The central government has directed the National Recruitment Agency (NRA) to prepare guidelines for computer-based examinations. It has also directed the NRA to prepare rules for pre-, during- and post-examination activities. The NRA has also been ordered to conduct an online test to screen candidates.
The Act has been implemented to prevent rigging in Public Service Commission (UPSC), Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Railways, Banking Recruitment Examinations and National Testing Agency (NTA) exams. With the implementation of the Act, the penalty for leaking papers now ranges from imprisonment for up to 10 years to a fine of Rs 1 crore.
