The Punjab Police on Friday, June 21, launched ‘Operation Eagle’ to curb the drug menace in the state. Under fourth phase of Operation Eagle, the Punjab Police intends to a massive crackdown on the drug smugglers and paddlers in the state.
This comes a day after Punjab Police conducted raids at top 10 drug hotspots in each 28 police districts of the state. The Punjab Police has shifted its focus to ‘Point of Sale’ to control the drug menace. Police teams under the supervision of an SP rank officer were sent to cordon off such areas and conduct searches.
