Central government has extended the tenure of DRDO chief Sameer Kamat

After Army Chief General Manoj Pandey, Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) Chairman Dr.  Sameer V.  Kamat has been given a one year extension of service.  The Government of India on Monday approved Kamat's proposal to extend his service.  After getting approval by the Central Government, Dr.  Kamat will remain as DRDO chairman till May 31 next year.  Sameer is the DRDO chief as well as the secretary to the Defense Research and Development Department.
