Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi's death in a helicopter crash has raised questions about who will run the government. Raisi was also in the race for supreme leader in Iran. The position of Supreme Leader is the highest power in Iran. According to Article 131 of the Iranian Constitution, if the President of Iran dies while in office, the First Vice President must take over as Acting President to rule first. However, it would require approval from Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
