Indian-born Gopi Thotakura is particularly happy to be the first Indian space tourist on Amazon founder Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin's New Shepard-25 (NS-25) mission. This was the seventh flight of Blue Origin to take humans into space as tourists. It was launched on Sunday from Launch Site One in West Texas, USA. Gopi and five others were part of the flight.
It also added the achievement of becoming the first Indian space tourist to Thotakura's name. He also became the second Indian to go into space after Indian Army Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma in His joy was evident in a video Blue Origin posted on social media. Andhra Pradesh-born pilot Thotakura was also holding a banner.
