Senior IPS officers AYV Krishna and N Venu Gopal have been appointed as additional directors in the CBI

Senior IPS officers AYV Krishna and N Venu Gopal have been appointed as additional directors in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Mr. Krishna, a 1995-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the Assam-Meghalaya cadre, is currently serving as the Inspector General in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
 He has been included as Additional Director of CBI for a term till August 6, 2028, an order issued by the Personnel Ministry said.
 Shri Venu Gopal (Himachal Pradesh cadre), a batchmate of Shri Krishna, is currently working as a Joint Director in the CBI.
 Another order said he has been appointed as Additional Director of CBI for a term till May 24,2027.
