Asian champion Aman Sahrawat secured the Paris 2024 quota for India in the men's 57kg freestyle category at the World Wrestling Olympic Qualifier in Turkey. Deepak Poonia, meanwhile, failed. He was eliminated in the first round. This is the sixth Paris Olympics 2024 wrestling quota for India, while the first in the men's division. All the previous five quotas were won by Indian women wrestlers.
Aman won both his matches easily. First he beat Jozy Valentinov 10-4. Aman then defeated Andrey Yatsenko of Ukraine. Yatsenko challenged the Indian wrestler but Aman proved strong enough.
