Italian Prime Minister invites PM Modi to G7 summit in June

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has received an invitation from Italian Prime Minister Giorgio Meloni to attend the G7 summit there in June.  Modi on Thursday held talks with Italian Prime Minister Maloni and thanked him for extending the invitation to the G7 summit in Puglia in June, the External Affairs Ministry said in a statement.
 In a post on 'X', Prime Minister Modi said he congratulated Maloni and the people of Italy on the 79th anniversary of Italy's Independence Day.  “I thanked him for inviting me to the G7 summit in June.  Discussed the outcomes of the G20 held in India to be taken forward to the G7 .  The two countries reiterated their commitment to deepening their strategic partnership.”
