Newsdesk:
Cancer is a rapidly growing serious disease globally, the risk of which is seen increasing year by year. The mortality rate of cancer is also high which health experts warn everyone about. Health experts say, a major reason for the high mortality of cancer is considered to be the lack of timely diagnosis and treatment. In most people in the country, cancer is diagnosed in the last stages, where it becomes quite difficult to treat and save the life of the patient.
Cancer has also been a major threat in India. President Draupadi Murmu on Thursday launched the indigenously developed CAR T-cell therapy for cancer treatment at a function at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay. Developed by IIT Bombay and Tata Memorial Centre, the gene-based therapy will help cure various types of cancer.
