Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and decided to bat first in the first match of IPL 2024 against Chennai Super Kings. Through this match, Ruturaj Gaikwad is making his debut for Chennai as captain. The match is being played at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai.
Through this match, West Indies fast bowler Alzari Joseph and Australian all-rounder Cameron Green are making their debut for Bangalore. Apart from this, Chennai has given a chance to New Zealand's Daryl Mitchell and Rachin Ravindra to make their debut. Rachin has been included in the team in place of opener Devon Conway.
