IPS officer Manoj Sharma, the inspiration for the movie 12th fail , has got promotion. In a significant career achievement, IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma has been promoted to the rank of Inspector General (IG) from Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in Maharashtra Police. This advancement in Manoj Sharma's career comes after the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved promotions for IPS officers of 2003, 2004 and 2005 batch.

Sharing the good news on social media platform 'X', he reflected on his transformational journey within the Indian Police Service.
