Newsdesk:
Before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, leaders of political parties are attacking each other. Meanwhile, Congress' deputy leader in Lok Sabha Gaurav Gogoi said that the people of the country will see a 'new India' after the general elections. Gogoi reached Assam Congress headquarters after being declared candidate from Jorhat seat.
Gogoi criticized the central government by questioning the timing of implementing the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). He said, this has been done to divert people's attention from the apex court's decision on electoral bonds.
Speaking to reporters, the Congress leader said, after the 2024 elections, the people of the country will see a new India, where democracy will flourish, institutions will again be autonomous and there will be rule of law, not BJP or RSS. The rule of law will be equal for all.
