PM Modi: Gift of crores to Assam-Arunachal, inauguration of world's tallest tunnel and Statue of Valor

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate the world's longest tunnel at the highest point on Saturday.  The strategically important tunnel is the longest tunnel at an altitude of 13,000 feet.  The double-lane all-weather tunnel will connect West Kaming and Tawang districts of Arunachal Pradesh.  This is the only way to reach LAC.  The PM will also inaugurate and lay foundation stones for more than 20 projects in Itanagar.  The Prime Minister arrived in Tezpur on Friday evening on a two-day visit to Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, where he was received by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.  The Prime Minister will then proceed to Kaziranga National Park.  After overnight stay here, they will visit Kaziranga Sanctuary in the morning.  From here, the PM will proceed to Itanagar.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unveil a 125-foot statue of famous Ahom warrior Lachit Borphukan at Holongathar on Saturday.  It has been named the 'Statue of Valor'  Modi will address a public meeting at Meleng Meteli Pothar in Jorhat and inaugurate, launch and lay foundation stones of projects worth Rs 18,000 crore through virtual means.  The Prime Minister will hold a public rally in Siliguri.
