Modi government has given a new gift to the people visiting Himachal Pradesh. Giving this information, Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting and Youth and Sports Affairs Anurag Thakur said that now a direct train will be run from Himachal to Haridwar. He told that the train going from Una Himachal to Saharanpur will now run till Haridwar.
Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav for this decision, Anurag Thakur said that this will greatly benefit the people of the area and will increase pilgrimage. He further said that approval has been given for the extension of Una Himachal-Saharanpur MEMU, which used to run from Una to Saharanpur. Now this train will run from Una to Haridwar, which will provide great transportation facilities to the passengers.
He further said that in order to expand the railway services in Himachal Pradesh, the Modi government is working seriously on everything from running new trains to necessary infrastructure development etc. Rs 1838 crore has been approved for railway expansion in Himachal Pradesh for the financial year 2023-24.
