 In fact, the Civil Services Examination (UPSC CSE) of the Union Public Service Commission is one of the toughest and prestigious examinations in the country.  Lakhs of candidates prepare for UPSC exam to get into civil services, but only a few of them are able to reach their goal.  One of them is Sonal Goyal, whose journey to become an IAS is motivating young candidates.
  She joined the Indian Administrative Service in 2008 after securing 13th All India rank in UPSC.  Her first posting was as Assistant Collector in Tripura.  Presently she is on the post of Resident Commissioner in Tripura Bhawan, Delhi.
 IAS Sonal Goyal has recently shared her UPSC Civil Services Mains Exam 2007 marksheet on her social media account 'X' (earlier Twitter).  To motivate the candidates preparing for UPSC, she shared her marksheet and told about her success and failure.  Recalling her days of struggle, she said that she had failed in her first attempt in the year 2007, but cracked the UPSC exam the next year in 2008.
