Newsdesk:
Jet Airways founder Naresh Goyal, accused in the money laundering case, filed a petition before a special court on Thursday seeking bail.  He filed a petition before the court asking that he be granted bail to get treatment for his 'slowly growing cancer'.  The disease was revealed during tests conducted by Goyal's personal doctors.
The court passed a preliminary order to set up a medical board to examine Goyal's medical report as the ED sought time to respond to his interim bail plea.  Last month, special judge MG Deshpande, hearing cases under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), had allowed Goyal to undergo medical examination by private doctors.  In his interim bail plea, Naresh Goyal said that the fatal disease was detected during tests conducted by private doctors.  According to his medical records, Goyal has a small tumor in his intestine, which is called 'neuroendocrine tumor' (slow-growing cancer).
