Prime Minister Narendra Modi is inaugurating the BAPS Swaminarayan Temple in the Gulf Islamic country United Arab Emirates today, which is much talked about.  This huge temple is Abu Dhabi's first Hindu temple made of stones and is being called 'a lotus blooming among the sand'.  The huge Swaminarayan Temple spread over 27 acres is a wonderful example of the ancient temple building style of India.
The temple has been built by the Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) organization in the Abu Murekha district of Abu Dhabi.  The land for the construction of the temple was donated by the UAE government.  When PM Modi went to UAE in 2015, UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan gifted 13.5 acres of land to PM Modi for the temple.
