Airbus has awarded the contract to an Indian company to manufacture all doors of its narrow body aircraft A220 model.  The announcement was made at an event organized here on Thursday in the presence of Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and others.  Its financial details have not been disclosed.  The contract has been awarded to Bengaluru-based Dynamic Technologies, which already manufactures flap track beams for the Airbus A330 and A320 aircraft.
This is one of the largest export contracts for an Indian aerospace manufacturing company.  This is the second time Airbus has awarded the contract to manufacture aircraft doors to an Indian supplier.  In 2023, Airbus awarded the contract to Tata Advanced Systems Ltd to manufacture the bulk and cargo doors of the A320 aircraft.  Scindia said that India is becoming the destination for manufacturing activities of aircraft parts.  Stating that this is the right time for Airbus to invest in India, the minister said the aircraft manufacturer aims to increase sourcing of aircraft components from the country to $1.5 billion.  Last year it was 75 crore dollars.
