A lot of great news is coming for Indian tennis fans from Australian Open 2024.  Veteran Indian player Rohan Bopanna has won the men's doubles title along with his Australian partner Matthew Ebden.  In the final match played at Melbourne Park on January 27 (Saturday), second seed Rohan-Ebden pair defeated Italy's Simone Bolelli and Andre Vavasori 7-6 (0), 7-5.
Rohan Bopanna, 43, has become the oldest male player to win a Grand Slam (Open Era).  The previous record was held by the Netherlands' Jean-Julien Rojer, who partnered Marcelo Arevola to win the men's doubles title at the 2022 French Open at the age of 40 years and nine months.
