Bilkis Bano Case: Three convicts in Bilkis Bano case reached court, asked for more time to surrender

In the Bilkis Bano case, three convicts have filed a petition in the Supreme Court demanding more time to surrender.  Convict Govind Nai has asked for 4 weeks for surrender citing his poor health, convict Mitesh Bhatt for harvesting crops and Ramesh Chandna has asked for 6 weeks for surrender citing his son's marriage.  The hearing on the petition will take place on Friday.

 The lawyer appearing for one of the convicts presented the case before the bench of Justice Nagarathna.  The lawyer argued that the time given for surrender was ending on January 21, so the court should hear his application soon.  Justice Nagarathna said, 'We will hear the application of the three convicts on Friday.'
