President Draupadi Murmu reached Guwahati on Monday on a three-day North-East Tour

President Draupadi Murmu reached Guwahati on Monday as part of a three-day visit to the North-Eastern region.  She will participate in various programs here.  President Murmu reached Guwahati's famous Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in a special Air Force aircraft and was warmly welcomed by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Vishwa Sharma and other senior officials.
Sharma posted on social media platform 'X', "Honored to welcome Her Excellency President Smt. Draupadi Murmu at Guwahati Airport today. The President is on a three-day visit to the region and will attend the golden jubilee celebrations of the Karbi Youth Festival.'' Murmu went to Tura in Meghalaya in an Indian Air Force helicopter and participated in various programs.  She will also inaugurate the Meghalaya Games at the PA Sangma Stadium in Tura.  This is her first visit to Meghalaya after assuming the post of President.
