15th January is a very special day for Indians. Actually, today the country is celebrating 76th Indian Army Day. This day is to salute the bravery of the brave sons of Mother India and remember their sacrifice. Let us tell you, on January 15, 1949, Field Marshal K. M. Cariappa took over as the first Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army from the last British General Francis Butcher.
