Suresh Raina on Maldives Controversy: The controversial remarks made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Maldives ministers on him are in the news these days. Many stalwarts of the sports world including Bollywood have expressed anger at the ministers of Maldives and the people who made controversial comments. The names of former Indian cricketers Suresh Raina and Irfan Pathan have also been added to this list.
Raina shared a post on social media platform X and said, 'I have also seen the comments made by prominent personalities of Maldives. In this, hatred and racist remarks were made towards Indians. This has been extremely disappointing to watch.'
In his post, Raina also told that Indians also play a very important role in the economy of Maldives. He further wrote, 'Especially considering that India plays an important role in their (Maldives) economy, crisis management and many other aspects.'
