Japan Earthquake: The Indian Embassy in Japan has issued emergency numbers for Indian citizens stranded in the country after the massive earthquake that occurred on Monday (January 1). Apart from this, the embassy has also set up an emergency control room.
7.4 magnitude earthquake in Japan
News agency Reuters, quoting Japan's public broadcaster NHK, said that an earthquake of 7.4 magnitude occurred in Japan on Monday and was followed by a tsunami. During this, a tsunami wave of 1.2 meters rose in Wajima city of Ishikawa Prefecture of Japan.
