Amid talks of contesting elections from Buxar parliamentary seat, Anand Mishra, an Indian Police Service officer of 2011 RR batch in Assam-Meghalaya cadre, has applied for voluntary retirement.
He has requested the Assam government to accept his resignation with effect from January 16, 2024, as soon as Kharmas ends. He has submitted his resignation letter to the Chief Secretary of the Government of Assam.
He has very good relations with many big leaders of BJP. In his application, he has said that he wants to focus on freedom and social concerns in his personal life.
