After 72 years, the temperature in China has reached minus 40 degree Celsius in December. It has been 300 hours since December 11, when temperatures were recorded below zero. This is the northeastern area of China where this disaster has happened. Snow storms are coming. These storms are coming in due to cool winds blowing through the Arctic.

Sub-zero temperature record in capital Beijing has been broken since 1951. China's northern and northeastern region is battling a terrible cold. This is the first time since 1951, when temperatures have been below zero for so many hours. Beijing itself has been battling a temperature of minus 10 degree Celsius for 9 days consecutively.
