The Indian women's team was announced for the three-match ODI and T20 series against Australia. BCCI has selected 16-16 players for both T20 and ODI series. Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the Indian team in both the series. Whereas Smriti Mandhana has got the responsibility of vice-captaincy.
Spin bowling all-rounder Shreyanka Patil has been included in the ODI team for the first time. Shreyanka recently made her T20 International debut. Shreyanka had taken a total of five wickets in three matches in that T20 series against England. Left arm spinner Saika Ishaq is also in the ODI team.
Saika Ishaq had performed brilliantly in the T20 series against England. Shreyanka and Ishaq play for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Mumbai Indians (MI) respectively in the Women's Premier League (WPL). Young fast bowler Titas Sadhu is also a part of both the teams.
