After getting approval from the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), the Bihar government has started preparations for the exploration of Buddhist sites visited by Chinese traveler Hiuen Tsang in Vaishali district and the remains of 2,600-year-old structures in Banka.  The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has recently given permission to Bihar Heritage Development Society (BHDS), a wing of the state's art, culture and youth department, to work at these sites.  This excavation will be done in Bhadaria village associated with Hindu mythology and Buddhism near Chandan river in Banka district.
