The Supreme Court has disposed of 52,191 cases so far this year. This is 3,000 more than the 49,191 cases registered in the Supreme Court this year. This has come to light from the data released by SC.

"In another achievement, the Supreme Court of India has been able to dispose of 52191 cases from January 1, 2023 to December 15, 2023, which includes 45,642 miscellaneous cases and about 6,549 regular cases," the statement issued by the Supreme Court said. Supreme Court Chief Justice DY Chandrachud has streamlined the time limit required for filing the list of cases, hence the time for filing the case has been reduced from 10 days to seven to five days.
