There is news of a mass shooting at a university in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. 15 people including the attacker have died in this incident. While about two dozen people are said to be injured.
Police say that the attacker who carried out this incident has also been killed. This incident of mass shooting took place at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University in Prague. Czech Republic Interior Minister Vit Rakusson told local media that the person who fired the shot had been killed. It has been confirmed that there was no other attacker at the scene.
The administration says that after this incident the area has been cordoned off. Local people have been appealed not to go towards this area.
The incident of attack is not related to terrorism::
The administration says that this incident of Prague shooting is not related to terrorism. It is being described as the worst mass shooting in the history of the Czech Republic.
Police Chief Martin Vondracek said officers had received information earlier in the day that the man was headed to Prague from his town in the Kladno region outside the capital, possibly with the intention of taking his own life. Shortly thereafter the shooter's father was found dead.
