Nationaldesk:
Trinamool Congress leader and former MP Mahua Moitra has moved the Supreme Court against her expulsion from the Lok Sabha on cash-for-queries charges against her.  Let us tell you that Moitra was thrown out of Parliament last week, when the Ethics Committee of the Lok Sabha found her guilty of endangering national security by sharing the login credentials of her parliamentary portal with businessman Darshan Hiranandani.
 Ethics panel had recommended expulsion
On Friday, Mahua Moitra said the ethics panel did not have the power to expel her.  He also said there was no evidence of the businessman accepting cash, which was alleged by BJP MP Nishikant Dubey and his former colleague Jai Ananth Dehadrai.  The ethics panel had recommended his removal in November soon after a stormy meeting with him, in which he accused the head of the panel of asking him inappropriate questions.
The panel's report was tabled in the Lok Sabha on December 8. The panel recommended Hiranandani's removal based on his affidavit that he had taken bribes for asking questions targeting the Adani Group.  In response, Moitra said that she had provided login passwords to her employees to help them type their questions on the portal.
