NCRB Data 2022: Bengaluru leads in acid attacks against women in the year 2022, Delhi at second place.

The latest report released by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) said that Bengaluru had the highest number of acid attacks against women in the country in 2022.  The city police registered six cases.
According to the data, among the 19 metropolitan cities listed in the NCRB data, Bengaluru tops the overall list, with eight women becoming victims of acid attacks last year.  Delhi was in second place, where seven women became victims of acid attacks in 2022.  This was followed by Ahmedabad at third position, where five such cases were reported, the data shows.
