NEWSDESK:
Zoram People's Movement (ZPM) leader Lalduhoma was sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Mizoram on Friday.  Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati administered the oath of office and secrecy to Lalduhoma and other ministers at the Raj Bhavan complex in the capital Aizawl.
Earlier on Wednesday itself, Lalduhoma had met the Governor and staked claim to form the government.  ZPM had defeated MNF and Congress by winning 27 out of 40 seats in the state.
Former IPS Lalduhoma formed a party named Zoram Nationalist Party, through which he became active in state politics.  On the other hand, Lalduhoma's party formed an alliance with five other small parties in the state.  After which that alliance transformed into a political party, which came into existence in 2017 under the name of ZPM Party.
