Nationaldesk:
Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Mahua Moitra was expelled from the membership of the House on Friday in the case of 'asking questions about money'. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi moved a proposal for Moitra's expulsion, which was approved by the House by voice vote. Earlier, after discussing the report of the Ethics Committee of the Lok Sabha, it was approved in the House, in which it was recommended to expel Moitra.
The opposition, especially the Trinamool Congress, requested Asan several times that Moitra should get a chance to present her case in the House, but Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla refused, citing earlier parliamentary practice.
