NCRB Report 2022: According to the latest data of NCRB, there has been an increase of 3.3 percent in the year 2022 in Delhi as compared to the previous year. According to NCRB data, about 3 lakh criminal cases were registered in Delhi last year.
According to the annual crime report of the National Crime Records Bureau, a total of 2,98,988 cases were registered under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) in the national capital in the year 2022, while 2,89,045 cases were registered in 2021.
Similarly, if we go back, the total number of cases registered in the year 2020 was 2,45,844. According to NCRB, an organization of the Home Ministry, 501 cases of murder were registered in Delhi in the year 2022, which was 454 in the year 2021 and 461 in the year 2020.
A total of 14,158 cases of 'crimes against women' were registered in the year 2022, which was 13,982 and 9,782 in the previous two years. NCRB said that cyber crime cases increased to 685 in the year 2022 which was 345 in 2021 and 166 in 2020.
Similarly, the data showed that cases of crimes against children increased from 7,029 to 7,400 in 2022, which was 5,256 in the year 2021.
