The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned actor Prakash Raj for questioning in the Rs 100 crore Ponzi scam.
Earlier, the ED had raided the properties of Trichy-based partnership firm Pranav Jewelers on November 20 under the provisions of PMLA. In this raid, incriminating documents, unaccounted cash worth Rs 23.70 lakh and gold jewelery worth 11.60 kg have been seized.
Let us tell you that this summons against Prakash Raj is part of the investigation into the alleged Ponzi scheme of Pranav Jewellers. Prakash Raj is the brand ambassador of Pranav Jewellers. He has been asked to appear before the ED in Chennai next week.Pranav Jewelers is allegedly running a Ponzi scheme. The scheme has come under the scanner of ED on the basis of an FIR lodged by the Economic Offenses Wing in Trichy against other people involved in financial irregularities. It is alleged that Pranav Jewelers collected Rs 100 crore from the public on the pretext of gold investment scheme by promising attractive returns.
